Diwali in Fiji this November

Fiji, home to a rich and vibrant Hindu community, will light up with various events around the islands as Diwali 2012 kicks off.  From 13-17 November, this “festival of lights” will shine bright with events taking place in all locales, from Suva to Nadi and beyond.

With a tradition that focuses on the inner-light that beams from within us all, Diwali is a great experience for someone to get a feel for Fijian life outside of the azure seas and bright skies.  A personal look into Fiji, enjoy the gatherings of groups on each night of the festival,  as they welcome you with food, music and laughter.  Steeped in Indian culture and tradition, Diwali bypasses all cultural boundaries and has now become a holiday for everyone across the islands as they come together in a unified celebration.

Rainbow Tourism treks the seas of the South Pacific, back and forth, searching for tourism extremes and cultural exchanges.  Diwali, in Fiji, is a unique South Pacific adventure and if you’re there during this special time, it is not to be missed.

Fiji is a vast land, full of intrigue, excitement and teeming with culture, so leave no stone unturned as you thoroughly explore and enjoy all that it has to offer!
